Vacancy: Chair of the Board
22 September 2025

Paddle Scotland is seeking a dynamic leader to guide our organisation forward.

Are you passionate about leadership, governance and having a positive impact through sport?

Paddle Scotland is seeking a dynamic and experienced leader to take on the role of the Chair of the Paddle Scotland Board of Directors. This voluntary position offers a unique opportunity to shape the future of paddlesport in Scotland at a pivotal time of change, growth, and renewed ambition.

Paddle Scotland is the governing body for paddlesport in Scotland. We are a membership organisation comprising more than 4,000 individual members including over 2,300 qualified coaches. We have a network of 80+ affiliated clubs and 40 delivery partners throughout Scotland offering a range of paddlesport disciplines.

As Chair, you will lead our Board of Directors, championing good governance, supporting our talented executive team, and helping us to build a thriving, inclusive paddlesport community. You will provide strategic leadership, oversee Board effectiveness, and represent Paddle Scotland with key stakeholders across sport, government, and the wider community.

We are looking for someone with proven leadership experience, excellent communication and people skills, and a passion for sport and community engagement. Knowledge of governance, strategy, and building strong partnerships is essential, with an understanding of the Scottish sporting landscape or paddlesport being an advantage.

This is a chance to make a lasting impact on our sport and organisation. If you are ready to help us grow, thrive and inspire both on and off the water, we would love to hear from you.
