resources for course providers

Paddle Scotland provides support for course providers in the form of guidance, documentation and policies, all of which can be discussed with our dedicated Coaching and Development Manager - please get in touch with any questions.

  • Provider Service Agreement

All course providers of British Canoeing Awarding Body qualifications and awards must complete a Provider Service Agreement (PSA). This can be done on JustGo and has no cost.

To complete the PSA, please navigate to your JustGo profile, click add credentials, search for ‘Provider Service Agreement’ and follow the instructions to agree.

  • Course Authorisation and Results

The JustGo system enables providers to automatically have their course authorised and advertised, to submit the candidate results and to pay online.

Course authorisation should be submitted at least 2 weeks prior to the course. Course results should be entered and paid within 3 days of the course completion.

Please find the Course Auth. Terms and Conditions, along with the Advertising and Results Submission on the policies page.

  • Personal Performance & Paddle Awards

If you are interested in delivering the Personal Performance and Paddle Awards, please find more information on Paddle Award resources as well as guidance for delivery (including videos).

To certify the awards, Paddle Scotland providers need to log in to the Paddle Scotland JustGo system.

If you are a club or delivery partner, please log in to your dashboard to add the Paddle Awards.

  • Reasonable Adjustment (RA) process and protocols

In the event any reasonable adjustments or special considerations are identified course providers must refer to the Paddle Scotland Special Considerations and Reasonable Adjustments Policy document for guidance and process. Course providers need to gather information from candidates prior to the course to enable them to tailor the course to meet individual needs. This includes identifying specific areas of interest and any special learning requirements.

Please find the policy linked below, also available on our policies page to view the full document - Special Considerations and Reasonable Adjustments Policy

  • Code of Conduct for Coaching Workforce

In paddlesport, those who guide and support others often hold various titles - Instructor, Coach, Leader, Guide, and so on. For simplicity, we’ll refer to all these roles as “Coaches”. This Code of Conduct applies to everyone who helps others learn and grow through paddlesport, regardless of their specific title or qualifications.
