The check in process for the Grandtully Slalom Site has been reviewed and modified.
Following feedback received over the past year, the system has been updated so that the check in process for use of the slalom site at Grandtully is linked directly to membership. The process is outlined on the Access for Members page, alongside the processes for accessing the Stanley Gate and Glen Etive Tributaries codes.
As stipulated in the lease with the landowner, the Grandtully slalom gates and infrastructure may only be utilised by paddlers who are registered individual members of Paddle Scotland (Full, Junior or Recreational) or one of the other Home Nations (Paddle England, Paddle Cymru or Paddle Northern Ireland) and follow the Terms of Use (updated September 2025) and Code of Conduct. This includes coaches or others involved in sessions which make use of the Grandtully slalom gates.
For those paddling at Grandtully, parking is available at Grandtully Station Park (GSP). Paddlers can choose to pay for an annual pass or day rate parking. The annual pass is the best value if you intend to paddle reguarly, providing access to the Grandtully day use facilities every day of the year. Find more information on parking passes here.
Paddlers on the river who are not involved in slalom paddling are not required to register and may access the river under existing access rights.
