We are thrilled to announce the finalists in the next category of the Recognition Awards: Event of the Year.
This award is new for this year, in order to celebrate the fantastic events in our calendar! Nominations could be for level 4 (club) or level 5 Paddle Scotland events.
The Canoe Polo Scottish Open is nominated for being the largest canoe polo tournament in the UK in 2025, successfully showcasing the growing Scottish polo community and the Pinkston venue with over 300 participants, 42 teams, and 149 matches.
Garry Boater-X is nominated for being one of "the most inclusive, welcoming, and fun event(s) of the summer", successfully balancing competition for advanced boaters with encouragement and safety for novices, with ages ranging from 11 to 73.
Paddling with Pride is nominated for its exceptional commitment to creating a safe, joyous, and inclusive community event, serving as a unique "rural adventure Pride event" for LGBTQ+ paddlers and allies that celebrates belonging and community building.
Finalists and winners will be celebrated on Friday 30 January - tickets are now available to join us for the
Recognition Awards celebration for £10/£30.
Awards Celebration
We will celebrate finalists and winners together on Friday 30 January 2026 with an in-person dinner, prize giving and ceilidh at Stirling Court Hotel.
Tickets for the Awards Celebration can be purchased in advance through JustGo. Tickets are available with or without the dinner. This is not a traditional black tie awards ceremony - dress in whatever you're comfortable in!
