We are excited to announce the finalists in the next category of the Recognition Awards: Andy Jackson Award for Contributions to Access & Environment.

This award is open to those who have achieved great things working to improve access and/or conserve the paddling environment.

Emy McLeod is nominated for her tireless work in reviving the River Spey advice and access role, including maintaining positive access relations between fishing and paddling communities.

Jonathan Riddell is nominated for his role in developing and maintaining the "Where's the Water" website, which is used by paddlers across Scotland and beyond to plan their trips based on suitable river levels.

Alison McLachlan is nominated for her work within the Access & Environment Group, promoting environmental awareness and good practice including supporting the Big Paddle Clean Up and raising awareness of Check, Clean, Dry.

Finalists and winners will be celebrated on Friday 30 January - tickets are now available to join us for the Recognition Awards celebration for £10/£30.

Awards Celebration

We will celebrate finalists and winners together on Friday 30 January 2026 with an in-person dinner, prize giving and ceilidh at Stirling Court Hotel.

Tickets for the Awards Celebration can be purchased in advance through JustGo. Tickets are available with or without the dinner. This is
not a traditional black tie awards ceremony - dress in whatever you're comfortable in!

We look forward to celebrating the inspiring people of paddlesport together!
