Glasgow to Edinburgh Challenge 2022.

Will you accept the challenge to paddle from the centre of Glasgow to the centre of Edinburgh along the Millennium Link?


When:

This years event take place on the 8th and 9th October.


Where:


Saturday Start: Speirs Warf, Port Dundas, Glasgow

Saturday Finish: Millennium Wheel, Falkirk

Approx 23.5 miles


Sunday Start: Above the Millenium wheel and locks of the Falkirk interchange

Sunday Finish: Just before Lochrin Basin, Edinburgh

Approx 31 miles


Entry:


Entries will be accepted in the following classes:

A – K1/ C1 One paddler, paddling the whole course.

B – K2 / C2 One crew, paddling the whole course.

C – K1 / C1 Relay 2 paddlers as a team, paddling alternate sections.

D – K2 / C2 Relay 2 crews as a team, paddling alternate sections.

E – K1 / C1 Relay Team up to 6 paddlers as a team, paddling alternate sections.

F – K2 / C2 Relay Team up to 6 crews as a team, paddling alternate sections.

G - Open Team Relay up to 12 paddlers as a team, paddling alternate sectionsusing any combination of canoe &/or kayak.


Entries will cost:

  • £20 per adult paddler for classes A,B,C,D
  • £15 per junior paddler (U18) for classes A,B,C,D
  • £10 per paddler for classes E,F,G


Entries open on 8th August and close on the 30th September

We are pleased to announce a new course date available to book for the BCAB Core Coach Training taking place online.

Mental Health First Aid Training - 20th May 2024 at Glenmore Lodge AWARD IN FIRST AID FOR MENTAL HEALTH AT SCQF LEVEL 5 (1 day course) We are delighted to be able to offer you the opportunity to complete Mental Health First Aid Training at Glenmore Lodge Monday 20th May 0830 - 1730. This will be run by Noush Duffy and Mo Samson - two experienced paddlesport coaches, Mental Health First Aid trainers and part of the Paddle Scotland Equality Groups. This Paddle Scotland course is being offered at the subsidised rate of £75 (inc. lunch and refreshments for the day). Bookings close 5 May . Sunday evening accommodation at Glenmore Lodge is also available to book via the link below. We are passionate about supporting paddlesport coaches to increase knowledge in this area so you can better support the people you work with. We'd love it if you could attend.
